Child Protection Policy

NVPF's Child Protection

Our Mission: The Non-Violence Foundation is dedicated to promoting peace, understanding, and respect for all people. We believe that non-violence is the most effective means of resolving conflicts and promoting social justice.

Child Protection Policy Statement: The Non-Violence Foundation recognizes that children are entitled to special care and protection. We are committed to protecting the rights and well-being of all children who come into contact with our organization, and to preventing any form of abuse or exploitation.

Guidelines for Child Protection:

  1. All employees, volunteers, and members who work with children must undergo a background check and provide references.
  2. Children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult, and must never be left alone with an adult who has not undergone a background check.
  3. Physical contact with children must be appropriate and not harmful or abusive in any way.
  4. We will not tolerate any form of abuse or exploitation, including physical, sexual, emotional, or psychological abuse, and any such incidents must be reported immediately.
  5. Children must be treated with respect and dignity, and their opinions and perspectives must be taken into account in all decisions affecting them.

Enforcement: The Non-Violence Foundation will take appropriate action in response to any allegations of child abuse or exploitation. This may include terminating the relationship with the individual responsible, and reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities.

We recognize that child protection is a continuous process, and we are committed to regularly reviewing and updating our child protection policies and procedures.
